The website was started in June 2002 by Mathias Haegglund as a spin-off from Lushbeats Magazine, which was the proving ground for this new project called Megamind. After leaving Lushbeats Magazine to focus solely on Megamind it quickly grew and attracted attention for being the first website focusing on Nordic Clubbing and DJ Culture in Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Finland.

The website started out as Megamind.dk but after a year it changed it's name to Megamind.se and then 7 years later it change to it's current home as MegamindMagazine.com in order to branch out and becoming a more international site solely focusing on DJ Culture and Music, especially Electronic Dance Music (EDM).

Now 8+ years later and having outlived most other websites started around the same time. Megamind is considered to be a stable and well looked after cornerstone of the industry. As always and as it's written "Megamind is always new, always informative, always insightful, always fun and always for you, the clubbers."

Megamind Magazine is a free online magazine dedicated to bringing music and industry related news to the public. The magazine is also being operated as a non-profit organization, where all or any proceeds are put into developing and maintaining the website.

Megamind Magazine is a place where YOU, a fan of music and clubbing, can come to hear the latest news, read interviews with the world's best DJ's, find out about upcoming events, scan reviews on the latest events, parties and music releases from around the globe and join in discussions with like-minded people on endless topics.

Megamind Magazine is more then a website - we are a community, one amongst many in this great global community called clubbing. A place to meet and talk, to review and debate, to read and discuss, to make new friends and maintain contact with old friends. A place for you!!

We at Megamind Magazine will do our utmost in order to get you the latest news and to introduce you to the best DJ's from around the globe. Our aim is to connect the clubbing masses of the world, to create a clubbing nation, where all the peoples of the world, where all men and women, can come together and share in the common love of the thing that connects us all - Megamind Magazine !!

We are clubbers and we know what you want to hear, and so that is why only we can give you what we want - the true clubbers perspective. As surely as our music evolves, so will we, as will we grow, thanks to you.
